Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing

Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing 1873 Rama IV Rd, Chang Wat Bangkok, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330 Thailand The Thai Red Cross Nursing College has evolved from the Siam Red Cross Nursing School to the Thai Red Cross School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health, and finally the current Sirindhorn Institute of Nursing, Thai Red Cross. This institution was established by the royal wish of His Majesty King Rama VI on June 16, 1914. It is the first institution to offer nursing programs in Thailand. When it first opened, it was under the Education Department of Chulalongkorn Hospital (the Central Army Nursing Division, Ministry of Defense). The program lasted for 1 year and there was an exchange of students with the Midwifery School of Siriraj Hospital. Later, Chulalongkorn Hospital abolished the Education Department and transferred the Nursing School to be under the Nursing Department of the hospital.
